The Sims 3 Collector’s Edition Review
I find The Sims 3 to be a bit of a let down. The game play is alright once you get use to the changes, but there is just something miss that use to be there. It feels a bit hollow to me, though I can’t say that I’m really surprised given other Maxis game that had been watered down by EA (simcity come to mind to me, not that this is anywhere as bad as Simcity societies). This game fear will not have the long term funny of The Sims 2, neither do I thing I will be that eager to buy add on down the line as with the last two. Well at least I can always fall back on The Sims2. I also found the Graphics to be a bit of a down grade, even in there highest settings. I can really see the potential that could have been a great game, but it seems to have fallen flat. I just like they kill the games soul. Well not sure if I can recommend this game or don’t, it’s not bad, but it just don’t quite The Sims.
I haven’t really played the sims since Sims 1 and I did get to the Makin’ Magic expansion pack. I got a copy of Sims 3 and I love it. I can’t stop playing. I have to fight my roommate off to get to play. I love all the new things we can do like we have to fulfill the wishes and we get lifetime happiness points. I really want the teleportation pad. I love it and I think most who are playing it do too!
The game, like every Sim game, is of course, addicting. It wasn’t, however, as great as I thought it would be. There are just too many little things that annoy me about it. OH, and the CE? Don’t waste your money on it unless you have your heart set on owning a green flash drive. It really isn’t that magnificent. I wish I had just bought the standard edition.
I think that the Sims 3 is a great new base game for all the expansion packs we know will follow. It takes a lot of memory and graphics capabilities, but it is worth it! I have had the game since it came out and so far I have been married, divorced, kelpt a couch (I am a kleptomaniac) Become a secret agent, remarried the same guy and built a great house by the waterfall. just be warned that if you don’t have the system requirements then it will crash on you.
I have been playing sims since the begining back in 2000 and I can say Sims3 the latest of Sims collections is a great game. I must say I was really impressed at the graphics. I also like the traits that you can now give your sims. Playing this game for the past week and half I have discovered alot of things (there is always something new) you have the option to control many things in the game (like if you do not want them to age fast). Also the idea of designing your own furniture and house with patterns is great..there are many to choose from. I also like the idea of my sims being able to go on picnics or visting friends or other places of interests….I would recommend it to anyone as long as they have a good video card and enough ram…cause if you don’t you will complain about the game…best to have your computer up to specs for this game to enjoy it…I have heard so many complaints about this game usually from people who’s computers are not up to par. But I am loving this game!
